Maybe it’s the way the light falls through heavy clouds, or how the wind doesn’t ask for permission. The landscapes here don’t try to impress—they just are. Raw. Wild. Unapologetic. And in that, they’ve taught me so much about myself and my photography.

When I first came to Iceland, I was drawn to its beauty, like so many others. But the longer I stayed, the more I realized: this land isn’t just beautiful—it’s alive. It breathes, shifts, surprises. You can’t plan around it, you can only flow with it. Rain becomes sun, calm turns to storm, and sometimes it feels like the weather is just mirroring your emotions back to you. It’s unpredictable—just like life. And that’s what makes it so breathtaking.

In the past few years I’ve been on a path of self-development—of learning to slow down, to really see what’s around me. Not just through a lens, but with my whole heart. Iceland has been the perfect teacher in this. Its silence has helped me hear myself. Its vastness has made room for me to breathe. And its ever-changing nature has reminded me that nothing is permanent, and that’s okay.

My photography has changed along with me. It’s become less about capturing the perfect shot, and more about feeling the moment—about telling honest stories of connection, emotion, and presence. Whether I’m photographing someone standing in the wind on a black sand beach, or quietly lying on moss under a grey sky, what I care about most is that the image feels true.

I’ve learned that there’s so much power in stillness. In pausing. In looking at what’s already here. And when I photograph, I try to bring that sense of presence into every session. I want the people I work with to feel held by the land, to feel seen, to take a deep breath and just be.

Because Iceland isn’t a backdrop—it’s a conversation. And every photo is a page in that story.

Since I wanted to keep it short- I´m leaving here for you some random pictures I´ve taken in Iceland. Some are better, some are worse… Not every picture has to be perfect, but every picture has a meaning for me.

xx
